DOVE ACADEMY
The Dove Academy Program is a 3 month, curriculum based mentoring program catered to young women ages 11-18 years of age.
The curriculum will focus on 5 key areas of psychosocial development through workshops: physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and financially. Workshop topics include: developing a relationship with God, financial literacy, social media safety, peer pressure, positive self-image, hygiene, and etiquette.
Participants will be expected to commit 3 months on Saturdays to the program. Participants will engage in workshops, community service, and fundraising. The culmination of the program will end in a celebratory ball and scholarships.
Lambda Angels is a program that reaches out to women in prison. These women are lonely, discouraged, and rejected. We provide Christian pen pals for friendship and spiritual development helping to strengthen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Jesus has a special place in His heart for hurting people and He calls us to minister to their need. In Mathew 25:35-36, Jesus says “I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me.” Then He explains “In as much as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to Me.”
Lambda Angels therefore is focuses on proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, His forgiveness, and His great love for them.
